MWS is a light metal company specializing in aluminum casting and CNC machining, producing complex, ready-to-install products with the highest precision. We primarily supply automotive manufacturers, the commercial vehicle and two-wheeler industry, the RAIL industry, mechanical engineering companies, and the electrical industry.
Consistently Successful
The MWS Group’s success story began in 2004 with the acquisition of the renowned Bühlguss foundry at its locations in Kufstein and Klagenfurt, Austria. As part of a vertical diversification strategy, a center of excellence for mechanical machining was established in Ternberg in 2005, and a die-casting plant was set up at the Hlinik nad Hronom site in Slovakia in 2007.
In 2024, another milestone was set with the acquisition of the low-pressure die casting plant in Herzogenburg.
MWS is one of the leading manufacturers of aluminum sand casting and permanent mold casting. 400 employees generate an annual turnover of approximately €80 million at four locations in two European countries. Our expertise in automated 4- and 5-axis milling has also made us a reliable machining service provider for other European foundries.
For our major customers in the automotive industry, we have recently been increasingly producing pioneering drive components for electromobility.

The MWS Group complies with all relevant regulations of the European Community, such as Regulation 1907/2006 (REACH) or EC Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS) on the non-use of harmful ingredients. Furthermore, the MWS Group does not directly import conflict minerals, and our products do not contain minerals originating from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries. We stand by this with our name.
